Malware known as Crackonosh is distributed by scammers through the pirated title of cracked versions of popular games. This malware secretly mines cryptocurrency using the infected systems.

According to the Avast security company, it’s already on tens of thousands of devices around the world and spreading to roughly 800 more systems a day.
