OneCover Pvt. Ltd. & Information Security Response Team Nepal (npCert) is organizing a Cyber security awareness campaign with the theme “Education & Awareness is the first line of Defense ”. The intended audience is Students, teachers & parents. The event contains a one hour session for those schools that are interested to have this awareness campaign .The campaign will be carried out for hundreds of schools from  60 different districts in Nepal.  During the summit, the participants will have intense engagement on cyber security related issues and will get networking opportunities with the cybersecurity experts.. For presenters, it provides an opportunity to showcase their experiences and ideas.

 With the advent of the internet today, almost everything is online. Especially in the education sector virtual classes are running and every student is becoming more familiar with the internet. In Nepal internet use increases by 35% during lockdown. And with the increase in use of internet cyber crimes are also increasing.

Therefore, the need for cybersecurity has been the most important topic not only for organizations, but also for protecting  personal information of students and their parents.

Our security awareness program will be the building block of a mature security program for all young users of the internet. Rather than a one-time event, our security awareness campaign is most useful when approached as a critical ongoing practice in the context of a bigger security awareness program.
