During the COVID-19 global pandemic, humanity has shone through and people now continue to work together in a time of crisis, however, others have seen this as an opportunity for personal gain in a result of immense chaos. The financial industry has therefore been a major target for cyber crime, with statistics from BAE Systems showing that 74% of financial institutions experienced a significant spike in threats linked to the pandemic.
